Government shutdown delays Oklahoma highway projects

News

Highway projects in Oklahoma are being delayed as a result of the partial government shutdown.

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation says about 45 projects will be affected statewide. The projects total about $137 million dollars, some of which requires federal funding.

In the long term ODOT says this could affect construction crews, largely because projects must be performed in a certain amount of time during the spring and summer.
