Gov. Kelly fills Neosho county commission vacancy

Kansas Governor Laura Kelly has selected a Chanute man to fill a vacancy on the Neosho county commission.

David Orr was selected from a field of eight applicants to fill the seat. The position came open late last month when Jeffifer Orr sent a letter to the Neosho county clerk and county counselor, along with Governor Kelly. In the letter, jennifer orr says questions about her residency in Neosho county have come up, and that her family has been followed and photographed. David Orr is president and CEO of Big Creek Investment Corporation. The governor’s office has notified the Kansas Secretary of State of the appointment. David is expected to sign the oath of office soon and then will officially be the Neosho county commissioner for district 2.
