Gov. Kelly announces supersonic transportation corridor

KANSAS — Tuesday Kansas Governor Laura Kelly announced a new supersonic transportation corridor across the state.

The corridor was created through an agreement between the Kansas Department of Transportation and the Federal Aviation Administration. It stretches 770 miles from North of Pittsburg to the West of Garden City and Liberal.

Planes will have the ability to fly at mach 3 speeds at an altitude of 39,000 feet.
