The George Washington Carver National Monument is hosting its 3rd Annual Story Telling Days this weekend.
Famous story tellers, like Loretta Washington and Keith Henley were in town.
History re-enactors share their personal experiences with growing up in Southwest Missouri and play iconic figures, like Carver.
The National Park hosts the event to celebrate the Park’s birthday and try to keep history alive.
“Well we think it’s really important because you know these are really people um U.S. stories … People’s stories about different historical events … Different people in American history and we want to share and hopefully that history will continue to be carried on.” says Curtis Gregory, Park Ranger
Gregory adds he hopes everyone enjoyed this two part series and is looking forward to next year’s celebration.
