Samantha Hobbs has a passion for helping patients after surgery.
“If I can just make a small difference in their lives, then that makes my day,” said Samantha Hobbs, Mercy Hospital RN.
Hobbs graduated with her nursing degree from Crowder College in May, and is now taking care of her patients by herself. She says she loves being able to help people at one of the most vulnerable times of their lives.
But, her career wasn’t always in a hospital. At 20-years-old, she was a teacher for several years in the Neosho and McDonald County school districts.
Now at 31, she says nursing is her life. “I really do love my job, I love Mercy, I love everything about it.”
Hobbs is a RN at Mercy hospital. She says she can see herself going back into teaching after she retires from nursing, or teaching a nursing program.
