Founder’s Day of Caring gives back to communities across the country

News
To celebrate, employees from 104 Nexstar television stations across the country are taking part in the inaugural Nexstar Founder’s Day of Caring. Employees have been volunteering all day at local organizations in hopes to reach an ultimate goal of 20,000 hours of community service. For each hour of service donated, Nexstar will be matching and donating $1 to the organizations.

“We talk about in our business life about being a local service business and that every one of our single markets is a local business
just like the dry cleaner or just like any local business but today on the Founder’s Day of Caring we are not only a local service business but we are committing service to the local communities and I’m just very proud to be a part of it and hope that we can get some good done today and that we’ll be back next year doing the same thing,” says Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Brian Jones.
