Food Stamp benefits extended in Missouri

News

MISSOURI — The Missouri Department of Social Services extends food stamp benefits through the month of September.

This extension means households on food stamps will automatically get the maximum benefit.

That’s based on the household size.

During the pandemic, the number of households on food stamps rose by nearly 50%.

Right now, more than 370,000 Missouri households rely on food stamps.

DSS says extensions will come on a month to month basis.
