Church goers come together to sell food and crafts in support of local and world missions.
First United Methodist Church in Carthage held its Inaugural Fall Bazaar.
Members sold baked goods, chili, and crafts to benefit local and international missionary work.
Organizations like Shop with a Cop and the Literacy Council of Carthage will receive donations.
After a thirty year break from the fall bazaar event, one church member took it upon herself to start it up again.
“I just feel like mission work is something that we all can do and we all have talents, either you make crafts or baked goods or you can help sell. Everyboy has a talent, a god given talent, and I think that that’s what I think.” says Virginia Gray, Fall Bazaar Chairman
Organizers will soon hold a meeting to see what sold best, and will start making preparations for next year’s event.
