Fire Across From Redings Mill Fire Station

UPDATE– Authorities have uncovered more information concerning last nights fire in Redings Mill.

Authorities say the home belonged to an East Newton Resource officer
The home was declared a total loss.
No one was injured or in the home at the time of the fire.
In total four adults and 1 child are left without a home after the incident.
It was around 9 p.m.when the fire broke out across the street from Redings Mill Fire Station one on Brandi Lane.

Several agencies responded to the incident including Joplin and Neosho.
The fire caused damage to the front wall of the home and left a gaping hole in the roof.
At this time the Fire Marshall says the fire has an undetermined cause.

REDINGS MILL–Mutual aid has been requested for a fire on Redings Mill Road.

The call came in around nine this evening.

A single family home was engulfed in flames that could be seen from miles away on our tower camera.

Multiple agencies from Joplin, Newton county and the surrounding area have been called in.

The address is directly across from the department itself.
