This year’s theme is ” Downtown Charlie Brown Christmas” and is organized by the Fairland Fire Department.
Fairland fire chief Jeff Reynolds says they hold the event each year because it is such a big tradition for locals.
He says today some of the organizations in the parade include Fairland’s Masonic Lodge, Lions Club and the Ottawa County 4 H Club.
“You know small community it gets people out and once we start this parade will have Highway 60 lined up for 7 or 8 blocks there just people shoulder to shoulder down through there watching it.” said Jeff Reynolds, Fairland Fire Chief
Reynolds adds last week they were unable to hold the parade, due to the weather.
So he is pleased so many came out to show their support.
