Exploration summer camps offered for students in several districts

News

With the end of the school year in sight, it’s not too early to start thinking about learning opportunities for children this summer.

Crowder College will be offering a career exploration camp this summer.

It’s for students entering 6th through 8th grade in the Seneca, Neosho, McDonald County, Diamond and East Newton school districts.

Students will get the chance to choose from a group of programs.

It includes automotive, alternative energy, construction, computer science, and health sciences.

Dr. Melissa Oates, Crowder Maret Center Director, “This camp is designed with an entrepreneurship emphasis, and so giving the students the opportunity to see some small businesses in the Neosho area how they work on a day to day basis and how they get their product to market may inspire students to do the same.”

Registration for the camp, which runs from May 28th to June 21st, is limited.
