Residents give and take goods and antiques to support a local park and wildlife space.
Wildcat Glades Friends Group auctioned off and sold hundreds of items through an estate sale.
A few people in the area donated everything so all the proceeds could support the group.
The group of more than 75 volunteers keep up Wildcat Glades and provide educational classes for children on the environment.
“I love to see the public come out and support. They’re very interested in what’s going on. This community is unique, where they will put their money where their mouth is so that’s what I love about Wildcat Glades supporters. They care about us enough to put their dollars into it,” says Robin Standridge with the Wildcat Glades Friends Group.
The two-day sale helped them raise about $7,000 to keep the park in pristine shape.
