Dickerson Park Zoo has welcomed new residents and is now home to two swift foxes.

Peggy, a 10-year-old female, arrived from the Endangered Wolf Center in Eureka, Missouri. Turner, a 3-year-old male, is from the Pueblo Zoo in Colorado.

Swift foxes weigh approximately four to six pounds and are not much larger than an average house cat. As their name implies, swift foxes are fast. The animals are nocturnal and spend much of their time underground in their burrows.
