Diamond City Council approves fresh paint for water tower

News

The water tower needs some maintenance, including a new coat of paint.

It has become faded and paint has started to ware, so the water superintendent just wanted to give it some general updates to make it look new again. The project will include some school pride by painting the mascot on the tower.

Water Superintendent Ron Callis says, “Yeah, typically the high school mascot will be placed back on it, but we’re not sure yet if it’s going to be one side, both sides… we’re not sure how it’s going to be.”

Diamond city leaders have not discussed a start date of the project, but once it’s started it will only take 45 days to complete.
