Investigators say the amount of damage from tire slashing in Monett is now more than twenty-thousand dollars.

Monett Police Chief George Daoud says the tires on about 60 cars were slashed over the course of three days at the beginning of the month. Late last week the damage was estimated to be around ten thousand dollars, but has gone up as the investigation has progressed.

No arrests have been made in the case yet. Detectives continue to work on the investigation. If you’re a victim of tire slashing, but have not yet made a report, they’re asking you to contact the Monett Police Department at (417) 235-4241.
