The former financial advisor for the Neosho and Joplin Community Improvement Districts is facing charges in Greene County for forgery.
Darrell Gross is being charged in connection to incidents in the Big Springs Plaza CID in Neosho and the Hope Valley CID in Joplin. An investigation was launched after hundreds of thousands of dollars were unaccounted for.
Gross is accused of transferring money out of CID accounts into a private bank account opened at Great Southern Bank in Republic. It is reported that Gross also falsified signatures of board members on the CID accounts to transfer the money.
Gross is charged with a felony count of forgery. He will be arraigned at the Greene County Judicial Courts on February 23rd by Judge Mark Powell.
