A Neosho community organization provides a day for individuals with disabilities to do things they may not always get to during the summer.
Community Support Services of Missouri hosted its Second Annual Newton County Carnival for individuals with developmental disabilities.
It was a free event for people with disorders to enjoy carnival rides, games, food, and animals.
Event organizers say their mission is to help increase quality of life, independence, personal growth and health of these people.
“People won’t succeed if you don’t give them the opportunity to succeed. And we found that anytime you give someone the opportunity to be independent and to have fun and a good time, they take that and run with it,” says CSS President Matt Lenhart.
This is also the 40th Year Anniversary for Community Support Services.
