Crowder Students get a look at the trucking industry

News

Neosho, MO- Crowder College students in Neosho get a glance at future careers in the trucking business.

The R & L Carriers Hometown Showcase truck mad a stop on campus.  Presenters came to explain job opportunities to college and high school students

Students are given information to explore other career options besides driving, including marketing, sales and I.T.

Students start with a 20 minute presentation and then go and tour the truck.

Daniel Carroll, Marketing, says: “I think its very helpful for them to see this first hand with a big truck in front of them.  A lot of people see it on the road, but they don’t actually get to go inside one and look at it. So it’s pretty cool when you see their eyes open up and they don’t even know what to say half the time.”
Tomorrow the Hometown Showcase Truck will visit McDonald County High School.
