Crowder College pays its respects to those lost on 9/11

An area college pays its respect to lives lost seventeen years ago on 9/11.

Each year on September 11th, a ceremony is held at the Crowder College Webb City campus involving local first responders. Dr. Tim Wilson, chair of the MSSU Criminal Justice Department, who has spent nearly twenty years in local law enforcement, says he was honored to speak on behalf of so many brave men and women.

“First responders universally are selfless and that selflessness was what was on display in 2001 and is displayed every day all across our nation on every single call,” says Dr. Tim Wilson.

Wilson says more than 400 first responders made the ultimate sacrifice for the communities they served on 9/11.
