JOPLIN, Mo. — More details are being provided — regarding a shooting and assault incident in South Joplin.
Newton County Sheriff Chris Jennings tells us an argument at a residence on South Jackson Avenue led to a gunshot being fired.
However, no one was actually shot.
Authorities later located a male subject hiding in an attic. He was then arrested for assault.
The incident is still under investigation, and we will provide further updates as they become available.
