Crews in Carl Junction work around the clock to clean up debris

News

Only a day after Wednesday night’s storms, Carl Junction leaders are already working to get things back in order.

Crews worked around the clock to get the streets free of any debris. City workers contacted both the Red Cross and Convoy of Hope to give some relief efforts. Now, they are expecting FEMA to come and assess the area for damages.

“They will be doing their damage assessment. We are well on our way for getting things cleaned up,” says Steve Lawver, Carl Junction City Administrator.

Carl Junction is working on efforts to dispose all the tree limbs and vegetation in residents yards. They are also looking to host a public update, however for the date for that is still to be determined.
