2020 Census deadline extended due to COVID-19

Joplin Area Coronavirus

The deadline for the 2020 Census is being extended due to COVID-19 in order to gather more appropriate data and allow more people to respond.

More than 48 percent of all American households have currently filled out the 2020 census.

Under this new change, the window for collecting data will be stretched to October 31.

This extension ensures a complete and accurate count of all communities.
