A heavily traveled bridge in South Joplin has finally re-opened.
Connecticut Street bridge over I-44 re-opened Friday night according to MODOT’s Facebook page.
The bridge has been under construction for the past few months.
The structure is built with additional lanes on the East side for the Connecticut Street widening project.
The project total comes to $2.5 million dollars with the cost being split between the city of Joplin and MODOT.
