Commerce Police Investigating Homicide

COMMERCE, Okla. – OSBI was called around 9:30 Friday night for a stabbing that left one man dead.

Police say 38-year-old Ray Alan Whitney the second entered a home on the 300 block of South Maple Street in Commerce.

He was uninvited but supposedly knew someone inside.

Whitney was stabbed once then left the house in a vehicle with two other people. They were taking him to the hospital in Miami but pulled over at the Walmart parking lot where they called authorities.

Whitney was taken by ambulance to a Miami hospital where he later died.

No one has been arrested in the case yet as the investigation continues.

The Commerce Police Department is currently on scene investigating a homicide. OSBI has been called in to help with the investigation.

Police are not releasing many details at this hour because they tell us the family of the victim has not been contacted.
