A big community event is set to start this weekend in northeast Oklahoma.
The annual Commerce Days starts today and ends on May 25th. It will feature a variety of events including arts and crafts and food vendors. There will also be entertainment from local performers.
“It’s very important we get the community together at least two or three times a week. People get to meet each other, we draw people from other towns to come to Commerce, spend their money. Even if it’s a candy bar or a Coke, it still helps, helps us as a community,” said Ray Horn, Commerce Police Chief.
City officals say this year it has moved from being directly off of Highway 69. It is now at the Commerce High School football field.
