CJ to ask voters about use tax

News

CARL JUNCTION, Mo. — Carl Junction City leaders plan to ask voters to approve a city use tax.

The city council approved putting a ballot question on the April election. It would once again ask residents to allow a use tax, essentially applying the city sales tax of two and a half percent to online purchases. Voters have previously turned down the issue.

The use tax question will appear on the April sixth ballot.
