City of Carl Junction asks for more volunteers to help clean up

Carl Junction is asking for more volunteers to clean up debris.

Residents from across the four states and some even from Kansas City came out to assist, but the city is still asking for more help. With plenty of homes sustaining wind damage and damage from fallen trees, the bigger issue is getting those trees cut up and disposed of.

“Really need people who maybe have chainsaws that can help us out. Or people who would even just help move the debris, move the brush as their cutting it, that kind of thing,” LaDonna Allen, Carl Junction City Alderman.

Volunteers will be needed through the weekend. To sign up to volunteer, you can either go to the Carl Junction Community Center or the Briarbrook Country Club.
