Church of the Nazarene in Fort Scott to hold study party for FSCC students

A local church is providing a study party for college students preparing for finals.

The Church of the Nazarene in Fort Scott is opening up the entire church for Fort Scott Community College students this Sunday. In preparation for finals, students can relax, study, and eat a meal for free with other students.

Professors and tutors will be in attendance as well to answer any last minute questions before finals week begins. And organizers are pleased to put on events like these, since they wish they had these events while they were in college.

“We’re just trying to reach out the community the best way we can and just love them. It’s really awesome that our church even allows this to happen because we have like usually over one hundred college kids in here studying, so that’s amazing too,” says Elaina Coppa, College Ministry Leader.

The finals study party will be from five pm until midnight this Sunday, with food served at ten.
