Pittsburg’s Children’s Advocacy Center hosted its annual Rigatoni Dinner today.
The facility serves children who have suffered sexual or physical abuse.
Officials at the center also handle forensic interviews and educate the public to bring awareness to their mission.
” All of the kids that come to the CAC are not charged at all the families are not charged so and sometimes grant funding is very restricted. So in order for us to have funding to keep our doors open we do rely on the community for support.” said Whitney Lovell, Executive Director Children’s Advocacy Center of Pittsburg
” I think the children need it. I mean it’s a needed organization it’s an organization that helps the community tremendously probably more than we even realize. ” said Nanette Krumsick, Frontenac Resident
Another way to help the center is to locate the agency on amazon’s donation list when you make a purchase.
They will receive a percentage of the funds from whatever you buy.
