Cherokee, Kansas under boil order


CHEROKEE, Kans. — Last Friday evening (January 24th), the city of Cherokee, Kansas experienced a water main break.

The break was severe enough to drain the water tower in the city in a 10 minute period.

Water was restored to the city within an hour but Cherokee city residents are being told to boil their water before consumption.

The boil order is expected to last until Tuesday evening (January 28th).
