Frequent blood donors can double up on their impact to the community through the LifePoint Lift program.
The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, or CBCO, has been offering gift cards and free food as rewards for those who donate blood on a regular basis. But the lift project is also letting them make financial donations to one of ten Southwest Missouri charities.
This month that focuses on CASA, or the court appointed special advocates, who help foster kids in the legal system.
“And so you get the goodness of the blood donation helping the community, but you also get the gift of helping that donation go further by helping others,” says Chris Pilgrim with CBCO.
The LifePoints Lift program has already totaled more than $15 thousand dollars in donations to area charities.
