Car Inspections Receiving Major Overhaul

An effort to scale back vehicle inspections in Missouri is moving ahead, with a few changes.

House bill 451 would now eliminate the requirement for any car, truck or suv less than ten years old. The inspection would also be triggered when a vehicle hits 150 thousand miles, regardless of the age. The house has passed the latest version of the bill, sending the measure to the senate for review.
