A local car dealership celebrates the grand opening of its new location by sharing the love with a four state charity.
Employees of Frank Fletcher Subaru presented a more than $14,000 check to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Four States Tuesday. The donations came from the dealership’s Share the Love Event. That helped raise money from November 15th to January 2nd through the sale or lease of new vehicles. Ronald McDonald House representatives say donations like this go a long way in helping families with sick kids.
“And we ask families for a $10 donation. When they can’t actually afford that $10, then the generosity of people in our four states actually underwrite that cost. So they are actually keeping the Ronald McDonald House open and available to families,” says Annette Thurston, RMHC Executive Director.
This is the 5th year Subaru has partnered with the Ronald McDonald House for the Share the Love Event. Over that time period, the partnership has helped raise more than $50,000.
