A Crawford county bridge will be replaced later this year.
B&B Bridge Company of St. Paul has been awarded a $2.8 million contract to replace the Middle Cow Creek bridge on K-126, about 500 feet west of the intersection with highway 69. Work is expected to begin in April of this year and last through April of 2020. Kansas Department of Transportation engineers say the road will not close during that time. They will build a temporary route around the bridge to allow traffic through. Engineers say they have also made plans to ensure traffic faces as few delays as possible during construction.
