Bourbon County commissioners seek public input for the county hard surface plan.
Earlier this week, commissioners met with members of the public, asking what their priorities were for county road projects, like paving. Over the course of the meeting, cost sharing was identified as a way to potentially stretch tax dollars.
One idea was to look at proposed trail plans in the ABC Trails proposal, and specifically the Jefferson Highway Trail. That trail would potentially run near Highway 69.
Commissioners plan to explore the possibility of combing trail development with road improvements in the future. No time table has been set for work to begin on the Jefferson Highway Trail.
