Thursday afternoon, Ottawa County deputies were called to rural Afton, where a resident discovered a body in the woods next to their home. Investigators identified the man as Jeremy Goodart who was reported missing earlier this week. The body was found less than a mile from where Goodart’s vehicle was located days earlier. Deputies found no signs of foul-play and believe he could’ve died from exposure to extreme cold conditions. Deputies are still waiting on the cause of death to be determined by the Oklahoma Medical Examiner’s Office.
