Church members come together this morning to help out their neighbors.
This is the third year of “great day of service” for Blendville Christian Church where volunteers worked along Picher Avenue. Six teams of nearly sixty people mowed lawns, washed windows, cleared out weeds, and even cleaned out a basement. The group leader says that this project let’s them meet the church’s neighbors and live out what they are taught during services.
“It’s fantastic. So great to see people give up a day where usually they would rest, usually they would take a break from working, and kinda just buckle down for their neighbors and just help them out.” says Family and Associate Minister Wesley Hasekamp
Blendville Christian Church’s next big event will be their Trunk-Or-Treat on Halloween
