Baxter City Hall workers forced to relocate due to mold

Workers inside Baxter City Hall were forced to relocate recently after an harmful discovery.

A recent inspection of the building revealed the old construction was contaminated with mold. The Baxter Springs City Hall will now be operating out of the Empire District building on the corner of 10th Street and Military.

Right now it is unclear what will be done with the city hall building. The town mayor is considering demolishing the structure or gutting it completely to remodel.
