Election day has wrapped up – but the results from the April second vote will be going under a microscope.
The Jasper County clerk says he’ll be forwarding the final results to the Missouri Ethics Commission, a request they’ve made across the state. While the numbers are still unofficial at this point, it won’t be long before they’re ready for state review.
“But you know it’s not a certified election until Friday, uh, we’ve never had any type of issue between Tuesday and Friday. Uh but it will be Friday when we actually certify it and it becomes official,” says Jasper County Clerk Charlie Davis.
Jasper County had six thousand 334 ballots cast in tuesday’s vote – that’s eight percent of those registered to vote in the county.
