The Ozarks Drug Enforcement Team, McDonald County Sheriff’s Office, and the Anderson Police Department served two search warrants simultaneously on Tuesday. The warrants were issued for two homes located on Grandview Street in Anderson, Missouri.
During the search, approximately 58 grams of methamphetamines were located inside both houses. Authorities also located a stolen 4-wheeler from Newton County, Missouri and a horse trailer stolen from Franklin County, Missouri.
A dead bald eagle was also discovered inside one of the homes. Missouri Conservation Agent S. Strader was contacted and he responded to the house and took possession of the eagle.
James Kivett, 65, was arrested on warrants out of Newton County, and charges are pending for items located at his house. The suspect at the other house was not home at the time, but charges will be sought against him as well.
