JOPLIN, Mo. - Bright Futures in Joplin receives money to help feed kids in need.
Arvest Bank presented a more than $5,000 check.
The money was raised through its One Million Meals initiative that ended earlier this month.
Funds will go to the Snack Pack program -- providing nutritious snacks for children to eat on weekends during the school year.
"No way we are able to provide snack packs for this many kids without the community involvement and without the volunteers to make it happen. There's just no way we could do it," explained Dale Peterson with Bright Futures.
Joplin Bright Futures feeds about 600 meals every week during the school year.
