Arvest Bank holds annual “Pay It Forward” day

Arvest Bank is getting in the holiday spirit by giving back to the community.

Today marked the bank’s annual day of giving, known as “Pay it Forward” day. All 17 Joplin branches were allotted an amount of funds to perform random acts of kindness throughout the work day.

Employees did things like cover the adoption fee at an area animal shelter. Arvest Bank holds these types events for workers to create a stronger bond between the company and the community.

“No just think it’s very important to give back to the community that we serve. That really embodies who we are as a culture, with Arvest Bank. And we really want to get our associates involved in that too. And making a difference and seeing how the small things that we do often times make the biggest differences in people’s lives,” says Lacie Cottrell, Arvest Marketing Manager.

Arvest created this initiative for employees so they could help give towards a cause they were passionate about. In previous years, associates have used the funds to purchase food to give to local animal shelters and to buy books for child literacy programs.
