An arrest has been made in connection to a series of arsons in McCune after almost 3 years of investigation.
46 year old Sherry Lynn Kerby of McCune is charged with 6 counts of arson of a dwelling and 1 count of aggravated arson of an occupied dwelling. Kerby was arrested last night by investigators from the Kansas State Fire Marshal's Office and the Crawford County Sheriff's Office. She is being held at the Crawford County Jail and is being held on a $350 thousand dollar bond, pending formal charges.
Kerby's arrest was made almost 3 years after investigations began on 13 structures that were intentionally set on fire in McCune. The incidents happened between 2015 and 2018. These arsons and several others remain under investigation by the Kansas State Fire Marshal's Office and the Crawford County Sheriff's Office.
