Joplin kids are holding their own garage sale at Memorial Hall.
Kids ages five through 12 had their own booths today to sell their items to the public.
Most kids put out their clothing and toys for the sale, including one little girl, Abigail.
Abigail has participated in this event for a couple years and she says she’s saving the money she makes to purchase some new toys.
Abigail Spena, a participant in the event, says, “I like to buy these little surprise dolls. Me and my sister collect them. And then, I also like buying gifts for my friends.”
Jessica Johnson, Joplin Recreation Coordinator says, “The idea behind it is they get to basically run their own business for the day with the help of their parents, and so they get to have a great time doing that.”
This is the third year the Joplin Parks And Recreation Department has hosted this event for residents.
