A devastating overnight fire leaves 10 people without a home in Southeast Kansas.
The Coffeyville Fire Department was called to a two-story apartment complex on South Elm, just after midnight. Crews battled heavy flames and smoke for 45-minutes in the frigid temperatures. Residents from all four apartments made it out uninjured.
The homeowner believes there is about $85,000 worth of damage. The cause of the fire is not yet known, as police and firefighters continue to investigate. Red Cross officials are assisting the four families that are now without a place to live.
