An eagle makes a cameo at a 9/11 memorial

Americans came together to honor those that lost their lives on September 11th, 2001, and a majestic creature that symbolizes our country’s strength decided to swoop in for a cameo.

This amazing moment was captured during a 9/11 firefighter memorial in Minnesota. Crews were gathered to remember when an eagle landed on top of a firetruck.

“Phenomenal. We’re all set up here. Nobody forgets.”

Attendees paused to take in the moment before the eagle flew away. Fire Chief Jerry Streich captured the video on Facebook Live. It’s already been viewed over 2.4 million times.

Two firefighters made a memorial 9/11 walk, fully suited, on a pair of gym stairmasters. It was to honor the 343 fallen heroes who climbed the World Trade Center stairs in 2001. The pair’s efforts were caught on camera at a Planet Fitness in Warner Robbins, Georgia. The firefighters reportedly started at 8:46 am and climbed all 110 stories and back down.

They weren’t alone, firefighters made a memorial climb in Denver, Colorado. Civilians joined first responders in climbing the stairs at red rocks amphitheatre 9 times. And in Sacramento, firefighters climbed to the top of Renaissance Tower. They brought with them the names of the fallen 9/11 heroes.
