ACLU suing Missouri over voting policy for the upcoming November election

MISSOURI — A civil rights group is leading a federal lawsuit targeting Missouri voting policy.

The ACLU is asking the court to simplify the process of voting by mail for the November election. The filing points to a requirement to return a notarized ballot by mail, compared to absenting voting where ballots can be dropped off in-person.

The lawsuit was filed in the U.S. district court for the western district of Missouri.
