NEWTON COUNTY, Mo. — A temporary prosecutor in Newton County now has the job on a permanent basis.

Governor Mike Parson appointed Will Lynch to the County Prosecutor job Jake Skouby left behind when he was appointed as a judge for the 40th circuit earlier this year.

Lynch had been serving as the prosecutor on an interim basis since February.

He had previously worked as an Assistant Prosecutor in Jasper County.
