LAMAR, Mo. — A local community will use grant money to help improve their water and wastewater system.
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has awarded the city of Lamar a $48,000 grant for that purpose.
The city will use that funding to assess and make needed improvements to the aging water and wastewater systems.
The grant is designed to pay engineering costs in small communities that might not be able to cover that expense on their own.
