JOPLIN, MO – One of the lions on Missouri Southern’s campus undergoes a renovation.
This aging lion corbel had been deteriorating, with a fungus discoloring much of the surface.
A project to remove the discoloration restored the appearance of the artwork.
The lion’s head dates back more than 100 years, originally making up part of the eastern facade of the Connor Hotel.
